Chris is a Manxman born and bred with a passion for the history of his native Island. After a wide and varied career he graduated with first class honours in History and Heritage in 2018 and qualified as an Isle of Man Blue Badge Guide in 2017.
His specialist interests include the Island’s rich industrial heritage including our magnificent Victorian railways, and spectacular relics of the Island’s mining past including the iconic Laxey Wheel. He is a keen walker and particularly enjoys opening up hidden corners of the Island to visitors. Family history is another speciality, and Chris has helped many visitors trace their Manx roots and visit ancestral homes and family graves.

Ealee (pronounced like Hayley without the H) is enthusiastic with a passion for history, folklore and wildlife. A native of the Isle of man, she was raised bilingually, speaking both Manx Gaelic and English, and after living in Brittany, speaks French too. Growing up immersed in the traditional music and dance scene, she has a deep appreciation for the culture of the island and would enjoy hearing about yours.

As a proud, native Manxwoman, I am passionate about sharing the delights of the island.
Allow me to tell you about our history and heritage: art and architecture, wheels and wallabies, kippers and queenies, bonnag and beer, castles and cathedrals, steam-trains and trams, tails and tales, smugglers and slavers, folklore and fable, records and races, Tynwald and taxes, Vikings and vigils, chapels and churches, crosses and cairns, tholtans and theatre, our mountain and mines.
My particular interest is my home town, Peel. I’d love to guide you around its quaint, old streets or to regale you with tales of riot and escape as we look at the part of the town which housed the most dangerous men on the island during WWII – on a route which just happens to incorporate the most spectacular views of Peel’s castle, beach and sunsets. Or let me explain and bring to life for you our fascinating, annual Tynwald Day ceremony in the nearby village of St Johns.

Jacqueline was born and brought up in Douglas, the Island’s capital. After many years living in the UK and Switzerland the Island called her to come home in 2001.
