Born and raised on the Isle of Man, David is a Manxman whose ancestors came to the Island from Norway over 1000 years ago, hence his particular interest in the Norse era. Equally at home guiding individuals or groups, in town or country, on foot or in a vehicle, David would like to help you make the most of your visit to our wonderful Island. The people, history, heritage, culture, landscape and wildlife of the Island are very special and David, who runs Isle of Man Culture Tours, hopes he can enjoy your company to share your exploration of them.
Andrew is an archaeologist by training with a strong interest in landscape history and the rich cultural heritage and wildlife that is at the heart of the Isle of Man.
Book him for a step-on guiding service, or join him on guided walks and talks through the Manx countryside and coast.
As a qualified Walking Group Leader (Mountain Training Association) he can also teach map reading navigation and survival skills so he’s happy to head out along the Island’s footpaths as well as over the hills!

I have been qualified as an Isle of Man registered tour guide for over 20 years. I was born and raised on the Isle of Man and some of my family I know were here in the early 1600s.
I have a Master’s Degree in Manx Studies; my degree covered the physical geology, geomorphology, flora and fauna, prehistory, history, arts, folklore, traditional culture and heritage of the Isle of Man.
I am a Manx Gaelic speaker and I am interested in the promotion of the Isle of Man’s unique heritage and culture. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Island with people visiting here.
John is an enthusiastic and engaging tour guide and has been guiding groups and individuals for many years worldwide.
His aim is to make your visit a memorable and enjoyable experience with a great choice of themed itineraries or completely bespoke tours. Having lived here for over 30 years he knows the Island well.
His particular interests are history, castles and the Vikings; he’s a Viking re-enactor and storyteller, and also plays the bagpipes!

I have been an Island resident for over 30 years and will show you what a truly unique place the Isle of Man is to visit. Its central position in the British Isles, and its Norse and Celtic heritage, has given it a special culture and folklore. Explore and learn about the Island’s maritime history, 19th century modes of transport, as well as ancient castles and keeills (ancient chapels).

Louise knew the moment she saw the Island that she would make it her home. Originally from Lancashire Louise married Martyn, a Manxman, has two grown up children and has been proud to call the Island her home for the last twenty five years.
It was her study of the Natural World that brought her here where she gained a Degree in Marine Biology specialising in Rocky Shores and Birds. Louise is passionate about the Island, its Countryside and Wildlife.

Chris has enjoyed a varied career as a Manx Advocate, Alpine Chalet-Host and Vintage Tram Driver before embarking on a history and heritage degree course in 2015.
He is a keen walker and particularly enjoys opening up hidden corners of the Island to visitors. He also has a passion for the Island’s industrial past and is keen to involve our unique heritage railways in his excursions wherever possible.
Chris is a competent French speaker having spent seven years living and working in the French Alps, and is qualified to guide in the French language.
As a proud, native Manxwoman, I am passionate about sharing the delights of the island.

I have worked for Manx National Heritage, both in the Library of the Manx Museum and as a volunteer at the Calf of Man Bird Observatory.
My particular interests are the wildlife and the Island’s history. There are many opportunities for beautiful scenic coastal and inland walks. Depending on the time of year, there is a variety of bird life to be seen, including a thriving community of Chough and many varieties of seabirds.

I am a Manx speaker and have a great interest in Gaelic and Norse place names. Can produce an itinerary for walks which include visiting the island’s diverse natural fauna, from short easy walks to slightly more energetic to suit the group’s needs.
Walks can also include the island’s industrial past, from fishing to mining.
